Arresting a Kefaya Activist in Mansoura
Holding him as a hostage until the End of Demonstrations
Thursday April 3, 2008—today afternoon a Kefaya activist, Mustafa Khalil, was arrested while he was purchasing pieces of cloth from Al Khawagat market in Mansoura governorate. When he said that he did nothing wrong "I'm only buying cloth," the police staff told him "you're buying it for calling for demonstrations." "You're going to stay with us until ending demonstrations," a police staff said.
After apprehending Khalil, he was taken to Al Mansoura Prosecutor's office in charge with inciting for the April 6 strike action. Three of Al Mansoura lawyers for liberties had attended with Khalil: Mohib Mekawi, Ibrahim Abdel Salam, and Khaled Rageh.
