Yesterday, a group of activists, representative of political parties and Human Rights organizations assembled to discuss what can be done to deal with the catastrophic humanitarian situation of the citizens of Aswan governorates and Northern Sinai, whom homes were destroyed because of the floods, family members were killed, large numbers of their families were displaced and they are homeless without any support or refuge.

First: This meeting is held under the auspices of the Public Committee to Support the Victims of Floods in Northern Sinai and Aswan. And the committee is formed from number of activists, political parties and civil society. The membership of the committee is open to whoever wishes.

Second: preparing a caravan of basic necessities, containing basic food supplies, blankets and medical supplies and this in the duration from 20\1\2010 till the morning of 24\1\2010 and it will be launched in the evening of 24\1\2010 and whoever wants to participate or contribute to the caravan may call the following numbers:

Third: we agreed on the following: the headquarters of the committee, where we receive the cases and complains of the victims and we will form a list of the victims and the properties destroyed and we will receive the donations. The headquarters are:
