Alaa Fakhri al Khiam, optics specialist, was arrested when he was distributing a leaflet calling for 4 May strike. While his fellow, Said Abdel Maqsoud, was able to escape, al khiam was taken and held in Damanhour police station custody in which he is allegedly tortured at the hands of Yasser Abu-al-Ezz, police investigation chief. Further, the Front's lawyer Muhammad Abdel Aziz was denied access to Al Khiam.
